Handmade Black Viking Style Carbon Steel Knife with Mirror Polished Dagger Blade, Black Handle, Celtic Collar & Black Leather Sheath with Triquetra Emblem
Handmade Black Viking Style Collector Knife
This handmade black Viking style knife is a sleek, dark Viking collector knife with a mirror-bright carbon steel blade. The dagger-style blade is polished to a reflective finish and features a sharp pointed tip, a raised center ridge that runs the full length, and a decorative flame-like cutout near the guard. Carbon steel is a time-tested knife steel that takes a keen edge and is easy to sharpen, making this piece appealing for collectors who value both style and classic blade character.
The handle is black, with a subtle textured grain that shows in the light, and it flares out at the guard where a thin polished steel edge frames the base of the blade. A silver-tone collar with a swirling Celtic-style pattern sits partway along the grip, and the handle ends in a smooth polished steel pommel. The contrast between the dark handle and bright steel gives the knife a striking, dramatic look suited to display or gifting.
The knife comes with a matching black leather sheath, stitched by hand along the edges with fine thread and shaped with soft contours at the top. In the center of the sheath sits a silver-tone medallion with a Celtic triquetra, a trinity knot made of three interlaced arcs. The sheath protects the blade and completes the set, so the knife is ready to give as a gift or to display with pride.

Triquetra Symbolism and Viking Style Inspiration
The triquetra is a triangular design made from three interlaced arcs, and it is a familiar sight in early medieval art. It is common in Insular art, which is the art of early medieval Britain and Ireland, where interlaced versions appear from about the 7th century in the Book of Kells, on metalwork, and on carved high crosses. The symbol also appears in the Norse world, for example on a Norwegian penny minted under King Harald Hardrada (reigned 1047 to 1066) and on the Funbo Runestone. Its link to the Christian Trinity largely comes from the Celtic Revival of the 19th century, and other meanings are modern, so the original intent of early medieval artists is not known.
Viking Age art, generally dated from about 790 to 1100 AD, is also known for its interlaced, looping patterns, which is why the Celtic-style collar and the triquetra medallion give this knife its Viking style character. This knife is inspired by those designs and is made as a decorative and collector piece.
Care and Storage
Carbon steel is tough and keeps a sharp edge, but it can rust if it stays wet. Wipe the blade dry after handling and apply a light coat of oil to the steel. Keep the handle and the leather sheath away from water and extreme heat, and store the knife in its sheath in a dry place.
For collectors, the included sheath also helps protect the blade during storage and makes this knife a more complete display piece. The dark finish, Celtic detailing, and mirror-polished blade give it a distinctive look for any Viking, Norse, or Celtic-inspired collection.
