Handmade Viking Style American Flag Knife with Polished Steel Blade, Flag Handle, Celtic Collar & Flag Sheath with Triquetra Emblem
American Flag Knife with Viking Style Collector Details
This handmade Viking style American flag knife brings two strong traditions together in one striking piece: the stars and stripes of the American flag and the knotwork of Celtic and Norse art. The blade is polished bright and has a classic dagger-style shape, with a sharp point, a raised center ridge, and a decorative cutout near the guard. The mirror finish makes the steel shine, which makes the knife a standout on a shelf, a stand, or a wall display.
The handle is made in the red and white stripes of the American flag, with the stripes running down the full length of the grip and the pommel. A decorative silver-tone collar with a swirling Celtic-style pattern sits in the middle of the handle, which adds a Viking-inspired touch and breaks up the stripes. A flared guard and a polished steel pommel complete the handle and match the bright steel of the blade.
The knife comes with a matching sheath in the American flag design, with a blue field of white stars at the top and red and white stripes running down the body. The sheath is edged with contrast stitching and carries a silver-tone medallion with a Celtic triquetra, a trinity knot made of three interlaced arcs. The sheath is made to protect the blade and to present the knife as a complete set. It makes a memorable gift for Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, birthdays, and for anyone who loves American patriotic gear or Viking and Celtic design.

The Triquetra and Viking Age Art
The triquetra is a triangular figure made from three interlaced arcs. It is common in Insular art, which is the art of early medieval Britain and Ireland, where interlaced versions appear from about the 7th century in manuscripts such as the Book of Kells, on metalwork, and on high crosses. The symbol also appears in the Norse world, for example on a Norwegian penny minted under King Harald Hardrada (reigned 1047 to 1066) and on the Funbo Runestone. The meaning of the symbol is debated. Its link to the Christian Trinity largely comes from the Celtic Revival of the 19th century, and other meanings are modern, so the original intent of early medieval artists is not known. Viking Age art, generally dated from about 790 to 1100 AD, is also known for its interlaced, looping designs, which is why the Celtic-style collar and the triquetra medallion give this knife its Viking style look. This knife is inspired by these designs and is made as a decorative and collector piece, and the American flag theme is a modern design.
To keep the knife in good condition, wipe the blade dry after handling and apply a light coat of oil. Keep the handle and the sheath away from water and extreme heat, and store the knife in its sheath in a dry place.
